You and the lads rock up at Darling Harbour. The sun is glinting off the water, and the My Ultimate jet boat is already revving like it has had one too many energy drinks. Life jackets? Check. Waterproof poncho? Check. A crew who look like they have been waiting all week to fling you sideways across the harbour? Double-check. You launch into thirty-five minutes of pure chaos. Wild spins, sweeping fishtails and power brake stops will have you gripping the seat like it is your first driving lesson with your dad in the passenger seat. Spray is in your face, your mate is yelling something you cannot hear over the engine, and every twist gives you front-row views of the Opera House, Harbour Bridge and Luna Park. Choose your weapon. A stacked burger and golden fries, a parmigiana dripping in melted cheese, or a pizza loaded with toppings. And to wash it down? A full two-hour drinks package with beer, cider, wine and soft drinks so the table is never empty. If you have that one mate who starts keeping a “jug count” on his phone, he is about to break personal records.
