Lads on Tour
Bucks mission brief
This isn't a tour you share with strangers. It's your crew's private run through the city, one Buck, one night, booked out for your group and nobody else, so nobody's out the front sweet-talking a bouncer into taking the whole lot of you. A litre of German beer in the Buck's fist before he's sat down, stacked burgers hitting a table with your name on it, and a roped-off booth in a laneway speakeasy waiting at the end of the line. No lining up, no getting waved off, no best man playing tour guide with a dying phone. Just your lads moving from beer to beer, the Buck copping it the whole way, and a night that quietly makes you look like you've done this a hundred times.

Lads on Tour is three stops and one rolling night, and it belongs to your crew alone. This isn't a public crawl you file into behind another twenty blokes, it's your own private run through the city with the Buck out front and everything already in place. Nobody's standing around picking the next venue, nobody's making the call that never gets made in a group chat. The route's booked, timed and held for your group before you get to it, so the tour part is real and the admin part is gone.
The first stop is a Bavarian beerhouse in the CBD, long benches, a proper kitchen, and a German beer in every fist before the menus have hit the table. Your seats are saved, brezels land for the group, and the Buck gets pulled out of the pack straight away: a full litre stein, a whole 1L of German beer, handed over while the lads take odds on how much of it ends up down his shirt. Usually plenty. First cheer, first roasting, tour officially rolling.
Next it's a bar in the heart of town with the game on the big screens, a free pool table and a DJ starting to turn it over. There's a cold pint waiting on your reserved table for every bloke as you roll in, and the Buck picks up a second on the house, because the man of the hour drinks by his own rules tonight. Then the feed: burgers built high with a load of chips, beef, chicken or one for the vego who reckons he's easy and is anything but. This is the leg where the loud one calls himself a pool shark, breaks, and gets quietly taken apart by the bloke who's said about four words all day.
With the crew fed and firing, the tour heads underground for the last stop, a speakeasy beneath one of the old laneway buildings, low light, whisky on the bar, and a private booth cordoned off for your group and no one else. The Buck's bucket of beers is already sitting in it, and this is where the tour lands: your own pocket of the city, the Buck holding the room, the send-off doing what a send-off's meant to. The bar's there for anyone keen to shout him the next one.
And you? You were on the tour, not running it, pint in hand, in the photos instead of behind the phone, no heads to count and no chat to referee. Somewhere between the stein and the speakeasy the lads realise the whole thing was your doing, and the credit rolls straight to you, no announcement required.
Only one Lads on Tour runs per date, and it runs for your crew and nobody else, so once it's yours, it's yours. The good Saturdays go first, so check your date before another crew's best man gets there ahead of you.
