Bucks mission brief

It starts the way a proper send-off should: shoes off, first beer in hand, and a quick tutorial before the group turns a friendly bowl into a full-blown contest. From there it's into a Bavarian beerhall, seats already held, steins and bretzels landing together while the Buck battles a full litre he never stood a chance against. Next, the sports bar: table reserved, the game running on every screen, a steak cooked exactly how he takes it, and a bonus pint just for him. It ends in a cordoned VIP booth for two private hours, his own beer bucket waiting, every door opening the second you arrive. Barefoot at the start, VIP by the end: same crew, same night, four completely different rooms.

Barefoot Send Off runs on one simple idea: the day starts with your shoes off and ends in a private booth, and everything in between is one continuous night, not four separate bookings.

Nobody's stuck working out logistics between stops. There's no group chat argument about where to be or when. It's already mapped, and all anyone has to do is show up and take their boots off.

It begins on the green, barefoot, at our own bowls club. A cold beer's handed over the second the group arrives, a short tutorial squares everyone away, and by the second end the grass has turned into a genuine battlefield of accusations and near misses. The Buck's copping it from every direction, and there's not a shoe in sight to hide behind.

From bare feet it's straight into boots and a Bavarian beerhall, your table already held. Steins land cold, warm bretzels get pulled apart across the table, and the Buck's handed a full litre he approaches with far more confidence than the outcome deserves. Watching him lose that particular fight is most of the fun.

Next it's the sports bar: table reserved, the screens running wall to wall, and a steak cooked exactly the way each bloke likes it, landing hot with the fries. The Buck's poured a bonus pint on the house, mostly so he's got something to hold onto while the group works through everything they've saved up on him.

The night finishes in a cordoned VIP booth, yours alone for two private hours, no one else's send-off crowding your space. The Buck's own beer bucket is waiting the moment you sit down, and if the boys want to keep the rounds coming from there, the bar's already primed for it.

From the first green to the last booth, every door just opens: nobody's checking a list, nobody's making the group wait on the footpath while a spot gets sorted.

By the time the booth empties, the Buck's gone from barefoot and unsuspecting to fully roasted in a VIP booth, and the group's walking away with a night's worth of stories that started on a bowls green and ended somewhere far flashier.

There's only one Barefoot Send Off on the calendar per date, and the best Saturdays disappear fast. Get yours locked in, because the only thing worse than missing your date is watching someone else's crew go barefoot first.
