Bucks mission brief

It opens at a modern city pub, the crew walked straight through to seats already reserved for them, a whisky and mixer in every hand before the first toast to the Buck even lands. From there it's a sleek city bar: the bartender walks them through six whisky pours, talking each one up without turning it into a lecture, a fact sheet backing up whatever gets forgotten, canapes keeping the table honest between drams. It finishes at a waterfront bar on Darling Harbour, balcony over the water, reserved seats already set up, a jug on the table and a second beer that finds only the Buck. Reserved seating and an easy walk-in follow the group at every stop. Three venues, one thread, not a queue in sight.

Whisky Business is built for the crew that knows its way around a good dram and wants the whole night handled without a single detour: three venues deep, and never once slowing down to work out where to go next.

Nobody in this crew is standing on the footpath googling directions or waiting on a table that was supposed to be held. There's no group chat lighting up with someone asking if anyone's actually booked anything. That part of the night simply doesn't happen here.

It opens at our modern city pub, the crew walked straight through to seats already reserved for them, no time lost working out where to sit. A whisky and mixer is in every hand within minutes, the first toast to the Buck landing before the group has even properly settled.

From there it moves to our sleek bar, where the bartender walks them through six whisky pours, talking through each one without turning it into a lecture, backed by a fact sheet so nobody has to remember a word of it later. Canapes land on the table between drams, and by the third pour the group has split into two camps: the ones who reckon the smoky one wins, and the ones who are wrong.

Reserved seats, no waiting at any door, the same easy walk-in at every single stop: that thread runs the whole night, so the group stops noticing venues and starts noticing that the whole thing simply works.

It finishes at a waterfront bar on Darling Harbour, balcony over the water on one side, the room's own nightclub section on the other, the group's reserved seats already set up inside it. A jug lands on the table for the group, and a second beer arrives for the Buck alone, because six good whiskies deserve a proper chaser. Anyone after something sharper can work through a cocktail list at a price only this crew gets.

You didn't have to hold any of it together. Nobody rang you at the last minute asking where the next venue was, because there was never a moment where anyone needed to ask. You get to be in the group photo at the balcony rail instead of standing behind the camera trying to find it. Somewhere around the second venue, someone will turn to you and ask how you managed all this. Let them wonder.

One run of this happens per date: six drams, three venues, one crew, no second sitting that week. Check your date while this exact run is still on the board.
