The Clubhouse Crawl
Bucks mission brief
It starts where the day always should, on the green, barefoot, with a beer in hand before anyone's even found their line. A short tutorial gets the group playing properly, and by the third end it's a full house of banter and grudges. From the green it's straight into a proper Bavarian beerhall, table already claimed, steins and warm bretzels shared round, and the Buck wrestling a full litre stein like new club business. Next, the members' bar: reserved table, screens running, a steak cooked his way, and a bonus pint that comes with the room's compliments. It finishes in a cordoned VIP booth, the Buck's own beer bucket already on ice, every door opening like you're already signed in.

The Clubhouse Crawl treats the whole day like one long membership, four venues deep, and every door opens like your name's already on the list.
Nobody's filling in an application to get the group moving. The rounds are booked, the tables are held, and all that's left is turning up.
It opens barefoot on the green, at our own bowls club. A beer's in hand before the first bowl's even rolled, a quick run-through gets everyone playing it straight, and within two ends the friendly game has turned into a full committee meeting on who cheated. The Buck cops the loudest complaints, mostly because he's the easiest target and everyone knows it.
From the green it's straight into the clubhouse proper, Bavarian style: a beerhall with your table already claimed like paid-up members. Steins arrive heavy enough to need two hands, bretzels get torn apart across the table, and the Buck's handed a full litre stein as his own personal membership fee, one he clearly didn't read the terms on.
Next stop's the members' lounge: your table reserved, screens running the game overhead, and a steak arriving cooked exactly the way each bloke ordered it. The Buck gets a bonus pint delivered with the room's compliments, the kind of gesture that looks generous right up until someone reminds him what it's actually for.
Last stop is the private room: a cordoned VIP booth, yours alone for two hours, the kind of space regular punters don't get offered. The Buck's beer bucket is already chilling when the group walks in, and if anyone fancies shouting him another round from there, the bar's on standby.
Every venue on the crawl treats the group like paid-up members from years back, walking straight past the door without a second glance from anyone checking it.
By the time the booth clears out, the Buck's been fed, watered and thoroughly heckled his way through four venues, and the group's picked up enough new material on him to keep the group chat running for months.
Only one Clubhouse Crawl gets booked per date, and the good Saturdays get claimed fast. Lock yours in now, because the only thing better than a green run your way is knowing the whole night's already sorted behind it.
