Bucks mission brief

Every bucks night runs on peer pressure, and Beer Pressure just admits it out loud. Four venues, back to back, no vote required: mates walk him into a bar with the seats already sorted and a jug placed in front of him before he can protest, march him into a sports bar for a second the moment the group's through the door, sit him down for a proper feed where everyone orders what they like and he cops a bonus round on top, then finish the night at a waterfront bar with drinks flowing and a cocktail list discounted just for the crew. He never had a say. That's the whole point.

Every group has that one mate who says "trust me" before a night out, and every bucks crew ignores their better judgement and does exactly that. Beer Pressure leans all the way into it: four venues, zero votes, the group simply moving him from one to the next.

Stop one is where the pressure starts, gently. The room's dressed in dark wood and low light, the sort of place that looks like nobody's up to anything, and the table's already theirs before he's clocked they'd booked ahead. Before he's had a chance to argue about where to sit, one of the boys slides a full jug in front of him, and the group watches, waiting, until he gives in and starts on it.

The mates don't let up at stop two either. They walk him straight into a louder room, screens up, energy already high, seats waiting the second the group arrives, and before he's even orientated himself there's a second jug in his hands, whether he asked for it or not. Somebody mentions that refusing was never actually on the table.

Stop three is where the group finally lets him make a decision, sort of: burger, parmi or pizza, his call, and his drink of choice too, a spirit and mixer or a cold schooner. Naturally the mates make sure he ends up with more than he ordered, an extra round appearing that's his and his alone.

Fed and topped up, the group doesn't linger, moving him on to wherever the last stop happens to be.

The final venue sits right on the water, the sort of backdrop that makes the last hour feel earned rather than just squeezed in, and the group's seats are held, ready and waiting. Before he's even settled, there's another jug on the table and yet another pour set aside just for him, because the group's decided he doesn't get to finish the night on equal terms. The rest of the table gets a run at a cocktail menu discounted for MUB groups, a perk that exists purely because they booked it right.

You'll be the one who orchestrated the whole thing without him clocking it, and by the time he's on his fourth venue of the night still not sure how he ended up here, that's exactly the outcome you were after.

Each date gets one crew running this exact route through these four venues, which means the pressure that matters tonight is yours: check your date and hold the run while it's still on the table.
