Bucks mission brief

A Battlefield For Bucks puts the crew straight onto a paintball battlefield built like a proper film set: full combat gear, unlimited air, five hundred and fifty rounds apiece, one cinematic backdrop after another to fight through. Basecamp handles the breather between pushes, undercover and loud with music. From there it's our three-bar party hotel, reserved seats sorted and the buck's cold jug beating the table's first order. Next, our central hotel, where burger, parma and pizza sit alongside a house beer or spirit and mixer, and the buck picks up a bonus round nobody else gets near. It finishes at our exclusive waterfront bar: jug already poured, a bonus beer waiting on the buck, reserved seats in the club room, and a discounted cocktail list to close it out.

The whistle hasn't even finished blowing before someone's already taking a paintball to the ribs and blaming it entirely on friendly fire that clearly wasn't friendly, and that's exactly the energy A Battlefield For Bucks is built to bottle.

Nobody in this crew is standing in a car park squinting at a phone trying to work out which entrance is the right one, and nobody's the one fielding a dozen messages asking what's actually happening or where.

Full combat gear on, marker loaded and ready, the crew moves out into a battlefield built like a genuine film set, weaving through one cinematic backdrop after another until nobody can remember which side started the actual war. Unlimited air and five hundred and fifty rounds apiece mean there's no lull to catch a breath in, just constant movement, cover, and blokes yelling tactics that get abandoned the second the first shot lands.

Back at basecamp between pushes, the crew ducks under cover with the music still going, swapping theories about who's actually got decent aim and who's been surviving purely on luck and a knack for finding cover, before the whole lot heads back out to settle the argument properly.

Straight from the battlefield and still buzzing, the crew walks into our multi-level bar to find their reserved seats already sorted, and the buck's cold jug lands in front of him before anyone else has so much as ordered, which is exactly when the retelling of the day starts getting generous with the details.

Next stop is our central hotel, where the real refuel happens: burger, parma or pizza depending on what each bloke's after, a schooner of house beer or a spirit and mixer to match the pace, and one extra drink that only ever finds its way to the buck, a small detail nobody else at the table quite lets him forget.

Last up is our exclusive waterfront bar, where a jug's already sitting on the table before the crew's even properly sat down and a bonus beer's waiting for the buck like the venue somehow knew he was coming. Reserved seats in the club room mean nobody's hunting for space, and the buck ends up toasted at by half the room, most of whom have had one too many to keep it subtle.

By the time the discounted cocktails start flowing, nobody's checking in with you anymore, they're checking in with the crew about how you managed to sort all of this, and you're the one letting the mystery sit there instead of admitting how simple it actually was.

Only one crew takes this exact day out on the field per date, so check your date and lock it in while it's still open.
