Best Summer Bucks Party Ideas
Given the supreme responsibility for planning the ultimate party for a bunch of friends and strangers? Yeah that sounds stressful. To help you out, we’ve compiled a few ideas that’ll make you a winner, and maybe even Best Man of the Year. Summer is whatever you make of it, but we think it's about mates, sunshine, green grass, blue sky, and clear water, so that’s what we’ve catered to here. Once you add in the lads and the vibes it’ll be a time to remember!
Remember to save the below and chuck 'er in the groupchat so everyone knows what's up!

Summer is about the outdoors, soaking the sun and playing the green. So gather the bros and the clubs and head off for an 18 holer. It’s social, its casual, and it's fun! Show up your friends with a perfect backswing, or even just learn the difference between bunker and where you’re actually supposed to hit the ball, after all this game is not just for professionals. Of course, why end the day there? Head back to the club for some refreshments and a couple of beers with the lads, catch up and chill out is the motto.
If you want a summer sport that doesn’t require the time or skill golf does, why not look at lawn bowls? Whilst not the first activity to spring to mind, I can guarantee this is one cracker of a good time. Play barefoot out in the sun with shade and beer close to hand and share a joke and a competition with your mates. It's a laid back time, suitable for everyone, no matter their physical ability, and is a perfect way to whittle away the afternoon with the buck himself. Alternatively it's a perfect beginning to a party that’ll go further into the night!
An all-time classic. What’s not to love about being on the waves with a bunch of mates, tunes pumping, bevs flowing, and sun shining? Whether its fresh or saltwater, bring some snacks and chill out on deck with the boys. Even if fishing is not your thing there’s still a beautiful day to enjoy and a tan to get before the big day. The boat is a platform in more ways than one- you hire a captain and crew to help with your technique or bring you to those secret spots only the locals know. Otherwise get your hands on a BBQ and cook your catch or bring some steaks to enjoy. Don’t be afraid to spice this one up with a couple of topless waitresses to keep an eye on your rod and open that beer for you!
Get tactical and dirty whilst tryna get that perfect shot on your mates in a game of paintball. Best part about days like this is they can go for as long as you want, with options to extend once you’re done. Among the scenarios like team death match and capture the flag there’s often an entire ‘hunt the buck’ scenario to play out- just try not to leave any bruises!. On a summer’s day this also works up the perfect thirst to be put down by a couple of bevs over lunch whilst you recount your war stories and that time you got a stray to the nads.

The hopping part here is optional but we’ll go into it anyway. Grab a few mates and head over to a local brewery, and then another and then another, its that simple! Grab some tasters and educate your palate whilst sitting in the beer garden, sliders on the way, every bloke’s favourite place. Of course you’re not just limited to beer and burger tastings, why not go for a whiskey or a wine tasting? With large outdoor areas wineries can be a stunning way to chill out with the boys, enjoy some quality food and wine. Alternatively you can hire an air-conditioned minivan with a driver to chaperone you and the boys from brewery to brewery, leaving the deso card behind letting everyone enjoy the nectar of the gods.

Speaking of bragging to your mates about being the perfect shot, grab the 12-gauge and head out onto the field for some clay pigeon shooting. Whether you can hit two at once or none at all, the smell of gunpowder on a sunny day is a perfect pairing with the boys. But don’t limit yourself to just one target, you can practise on stationary ones, two at a time, red dust, blue dust, and tell stories with (bull)dust. Either morning or afternoon is perfect for this, so don your best hunting cap and get ready to lock and load.

Don’t be put off by this one! It’s a growing trend to take your mates out of the big city for a night around the campfire. Whether you’re setting up a tent or a swag, sit back in your camping chair and enjoy a BBQ over an open flame by the river. You’ll have open skies with bright stars, a couple of good stories, and an esky full of your choice of beverage. Of course if you don’t own your own gear, don’t be afraid to look at the inclusive glamping options, they’ll sort you out with the same experience, with the addition of a sturdy tent and probably a better toilet.
So that’s the short of it! Anything’s possible in summer and there’s heaps of ideas I haven’t listed here, it all depends on what the boys, and the buck are up for. Ask around and see what people are interested in and you’ll be fine, goodluck soldier!
